JD Harmo with Little Victor & his Combo

D Harmo can deliver a wailing, "big-tone", amplified urban Blues harmonica sound, reminiscent of Little Walter and Big Walter Horton, or a lazy, soulful Louisiana "swamp" Blues sound. He brings back to life the deep blues you can hear on the great classic "Chess" or "Excello" records from the 1950s.

He will take you on a musical journey with a repertoire that includes Chicago, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi blues, paying tribute to the immortal sounds of Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, RL Burnside, Slim Harpo and many more. In spite of his Irish and French roots, he cut his teeth in Austin, Texas, before moving to London almost 20 years ago and starting to play all over town.

For his "debut" show in Brighton, our man will team up with one of his blues heroes since the 1990’s: the legendary American multiple award-winning Little Victor (RL Burnside, Louisiana Red, Hubert Sumlin, Tav Falco) and his great combo, composed of veteran players Orlando Shearer on electric and upright bass and Nick Simonon on drums. Don't miss it!
